Photography Workshop at Berkeley extension
I photographed famous San Francisco landmarks like the Painted Ladies and the Golden Gate Bridge, printed them on a deep matte paper in a Postcard size, and worked on them with metallic gold thread around the silhouettes and elements of the picture.
I re-discovered embroidery after I moved to San Francisco, so both of them are very connected for me, that’s why I wanted to tie this project to needlework.
I wanted to challenge myself with this project by using my embroidery abilities in a different medium and taking different kinds of pictures that I usually make. I hope for the final result to be an interesting composition to see and bring out the photographs with a 3-dimensional component.
